To expand on Frederik's response.
You cannot change from 32 chip to 64 bit Windows without doing a clean install.
You can obviously fill-in your data from C and then put it back one time the install is done, only you will have to reinstall all your applications.

You will have to exercise a make clean installation, there is no in place upgrade path from Windows 7 32 Bit to 64 chip.

No you can not. At that place is no way to change the "bitness" of *any* version of Windows from 32-bit to 64-fleck, or vice versa.
The only way to get there is by doing a clean installation.
